Droid Explorer

Droid Explorer is an Android API browser available for US$0.99 in the Android Market. It's a great tool for mobile app developers. It demonstrates many of the things that a developer can do with the SDK calls and Java APIs on Android devices.

Latest Changes

Version 1.3 adds a number of ActivityManager APIs under the System Services options, among other things.

Version 1.1 corrects a "Force close" with "android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: File res/drawable/btn_right.png from drawable resource ID #0x0: .xml extension required" when one of the 12 system themes was selected. The resolution required extending the 12 system-supplied themes and adding android:textColorHighlight to each one, FAI.

Additional Information

The GestureDetector uses gesture encoding as described at FingerGestures.com

Note that the "Doctor, it hurts when I do this!" rule applies... if an activity crashes when you call it with certain parameters supplied, don't code it that way in your apps.
